A Season of Sensational Wine Country Events

We hope you had a wonderful Mustard Season! See you in 2009

Thank you for your interest.

Your Invitation

The Napa Valley Mustard Festival celebrates its fifteenth season of sensational events in the year 2008. This two month season, during which fields, vineyards, and hillsides are vibrant with wild mustard in bloom, celebrates the rich, unique agricultural and cultural bounty of Napa Valley.

The Mustard Season offers a full palette of food, wine, art, entertainment, and cultural activities staged throughout the world-famous grape growing region from Saturday, February 2, through Saturday, March 29. Mustard the condiment shares center stage with mustard in bloom throughout the season - appearing at events and in mustard recipes, from entrées to desserts.

Your Hosts - Host Chef Christopher Manning, Executive Chef, étoile Restaurant at Domaine Chandon; St. Supéry Winery's Host Winemaking Team headed by CEO Michaela Rodeno and winemaker Michael Beaulac; and Host Artist Jessel Miller, nationally know watercolor artistist, author, and owner of Napa Valley's Jessel Gallery, invite you to join us!

Indulge in art, music, and exquisite foods and wines at Mustard Magic, the opulent grand opening event, at The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena on Saturday, February 2; and wrap up the season at The Mumm Napa Photo Finish at Mumm Napa in Rutherford on Saturday, March 29.

Don your finest black tie attire for Mustard Magic where dramatic tableaux vivants of works by European masters will celebrate the fine art of food and wine, while entertainment at its finest complements the living art and tantalizing tastes from the region's finest restaurants and wineries. Raise your paddle high at the live auction to win fantastic winemaker dinners, luxurious trips, art, wine and more!

Back by popular demand, Romantica will take place at Meadowood Napa Valley on Saturday, February 16, at 6 pm. Savor a sumptuous five-course menu with your sweetheart presented by Napa Valley Mustard Festival Retiring Host Chef Alejandro Ayala and the retiring Host Winemaking Family, the Ceja's - an exceptional gourmet menu with cultural influences will stir romance in every soul at this post-valentine dinner event. Seating at Romantica is limited to 100 lovers.

Assemble with fellow gourmets to indulge in seven sumptuous courses at Le Grand Dîner presented at Domaine Chandon on February 29. This impressive Napa Valley winery and restaurant provides an extraordinary venue for the Season’s Signature Sit-down Gourmet Extravaganza. Limited to 100 guests.

Meet world champion mustard makers and taste the original mustard recipes of Napa Valley chefs at The Awards on March 14 at Black Stallion Winery. Help choose the 2008 Napa Valley Mustard Festival People's Choice Chef of The Year!

Celebrate the season at The Marketplace, the Festival's signature event, at COPIA - The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts in Napa on Saturday and Sunday, March 15 and 16. Mustards from around the world will be showcased alongside regional food, wine, and art.

View the season's beauty captured by photographers from far and wide at The The Mumm Napa Photo Finish, the inevitably sold out and wildly exuberant Napa Valley Mustard Festival Grand Finale Event, at Mumm Napa in Rutherford on Saturday, March 29 at 7 p.m. Taste a heady array of Napa Valley wines along with sweets and savories, view the Napa Valley Mustard Festival Photography Contest Exhibit of photographs, available for purchase, and revel in the party until the last dance.

Mustard Festival events provide unique opportunities to experience the beauty of Napa Valley's golden season. Sample superb culinary fare and sumptuous wines; experience luxurious sojourns in historic wine country communities; and attend events from casual to black tie.

A variety of art, community, and tasting events will fill the two-month calendar. Please see the Calendar of Events for additional event information; and watch for updates, as many community and tasting events will be added to the calendar as we approach the Mustard Season.
